Sypro Selected for largest ever healthcare build in Scotland
NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde, along with their construction partner Brookfield Europe, have appointed Sypro Management Limited as their providers of their NEC compliant contract management system, Sypro. The Health Board and builder will utilise Sypro to manage all aspects of the NEC3 contract to assist the teams in the succesful delivery of this flagship scheme. The New Southern General Hospital is due for completion in 2016 with a forecasted cost of £842m.
Sypro recently exhibited at the NEC User Group Seminar at The Institute of Civil Engineers (ICE), One Great George Street, Westminster.
The NEC User Group Seminar is the annual meeting of leading industry figures and advocates of the NEC Suite of Contracts. Organised and managed by Thomas Telford Limited, Sypro Management Limited were pleased to be involved in this event and enjoyed meeting new customers on the day.
A series of practical talks were given by leading industry figures covering aspects of the Engineering & Construction Contract (ECC), Term Service Contract (TSC), Professional Services Contract (PSC) and NEC2 & NEC3. Many real-world examples of success were presented and clear focus was given to how best information technology and specific NEC focussed software can assist in the management of current and future NEC schemes.
The NEC Panel chaired by Nigel Shaw and featuring Rudi Klein, John Lofty and Rob Gerrard, prompted excellent Q&A sessions with the presenters to focus on live issues and sharing best practice.
Attending with event were Sypro Directors Gerard Toplass, Simon Hunt and Dr Stuart Kings.
Sypro selected by Royal Cornwall Hospitals
Royal Cornwall Hospitals along with their partner Medicinq, have just implemented Sypro for contract management on their Chemotherapy Refurbishment scheme. This is the seventh scheme implemented with Medicinq which include new Women & Maternity hospitals in Newham and Stevenage amongst other projects.
